matchre ) and I'm joining the game with this theatrical fella - Kuja from Final Fantasy IX! He has a permissions page you can check if you like, though there's no questionnaire or anything on it.

I'm extremely stoked to get involved with Hugtopia! Let me know if I get a little much, though. It's been a long time since I've been in dwrp and I've mostly been doing very fast paced RP on discord til recent.

If you don't know Kuja, in short, he's a self-centered, elegant mage with a lot of insecurities he papers over with grandiosity. He's very opinionated, and used to fine things thanks to doing lots of under-handed social climbing. He is just, absolutely morally bankrupt, but! He'll probably keep a lid on mmmmmost of that til he gets more comfortable in the setting.

Welcome to Hugtopia! We're so happy to have you all here. We know it can be stressful, starting in a game (or adding a character, or just refreshing your State of the Player situation!) so in an effort to help, we bring you an Intro/CR Meme!

It's been a while since we posted one of these, and for that, we apologize, but it's long overdue, so here we go! Post freely amongst yourselves, help each other feel welcome. And be sure to check back often as we all march to the beat of our own drums, so new people may be showing up later, and someone may have a fun new idea in the middle of the night that you might not want to miss out on! You can use this post to introduce yourself and your characters if you're new, to talk about handwaved CR or activities your character does often, look for CR opportunities, friend fellow players, and more!

Here's what to do:

Hello everyone, Juu here (Mina Ashido player)!

Today I bring you the enigmatic and sort of dumbass angel, Kaworu Nagisa from that canon called Evangelion. If you don't know the messy (but very good!) canon he is from, Kaworu here isn't actually a human - he's an "angel" but honestly it's nothing like the angels you know.

He has actually been in this game before and to make it easier for me to play him, he will retain his memories.

Kaworu is... complicated, and honestly frustrating at times, and may have some issues when it comes respecting personal boundaries. He's absolutely in love with humans, he died for humans and he doomed his entire race due to that, but he sees no one individually (unless you are a boy called Shinji Ikari), so despite being very forward and saying "i love you" right off the bat, he means it in a very broad way. He is hard to understand, he asks a lot of question and generally he will be a huge weirdo.

Sorry about that, but he means well, though, I promise!

Hey all! It's Hope (Tony Stark's mun), bringing you my second character. He's an OC from the tabletop game World of Darkness: Werewolf the Apocalypse and I'm using for him the pb Fushi from Into Your Eternity.

This is Ghost (full name is Ghost of the Northern Lights), though he uses the alias Tiriaq until he gets to know people. His daddy told him real names are dangerous to tell people and you do what your daddy tell you to do. He's a small ten year old kid from the rural northern regions where he was literally raised by wolves. He's a werefox or a Kitsune (WoD:WtA terms) and was raised among a werewolf community. Even though he was born a fox, he had some cousins among the werewolves who were more in touch with their human side and they taught him how to 'pass' (sort of). Still, he's going to get some things wrong as it's not natural to him.

Also as a fox, he's a bit of a klepto. He likes shiny things and picks up random bits of things here and there. I'll always ask before I have him take something. We can do something fun with this to build CR. Anything important will always be returned. He also loves playing and tricks- which is what he calls magic. He has some special connections to spirits and auras, but his powers are fairly limited being so young and inexperienced.

Hello everyone! I'm Luna and I currently play Goro Akechi from Persona 5: Royal. I'm happy to say I'm bringing one more nerd to the game and a perfect little brother figure.

This is Alphinaud Leveilleur from Final Fantasy XIV. You know, that massive MMO that everyone's obsessed about. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, Alphinaud is a young Elezen from Sharlayan who traveled to Eorzea with his twin sister to find out what happened to their grandfather and why Louisoux gave his life to Eorzea. It wasn't long that he was there that he started to want to protect Eorzea as well. He's very intelligent and exceeds in leadership roles (even if he will adamantly deny that after what happened with the Crystal Braves).

He also has Alisaie and Krille there to dunk on him any chance they can get, so we got to learn interesting tidbits like how he learned how to draw to impress girls and that he does not know how to swim. And he's really good at it. He's also from a more distinguished family, so there are a lot of things he has not really done much himself (he was proud of his firewood gathering skills despite never doing it much before then for example) and has a healthy curiosity to learn new things. He can also be very emotionally reckless if someone he cares about is in danger in some way.

He's taken from the end of Stormblood, before the patches, because I'm still in the process of playing through the story. My intent is to eventually update him once I'm caught up to Shadowbringers. So as a major favor, I'd prefer no spoilers for what's coming up. I can't exactly say how long it'll take (hopefully not that long), but I'd rather experience it for myself.

hello all!! i'm shikki and i'm super excited to be here with the best worst boy.

this is nero the sable from ffvii: dirge of cerberus. he's probably the closest shinra ever got to making a real ancient, and by that i mean he does the absolute reverse of everything they wanted. nero was raised in shinra's basement under the cruelest and most isolating conditions imaginable, and as a result carries a deep hatred towards humanity. while simultaneously just wanting someone to love him.

nero has power over darkness - or death itself, really, and uses it to both kill people and force them to relive all their worst memories as they die. but he's hella nerfed here, so the worst people will have to deal with is that he's not used to being touched, and will absolutely try to use his powers to trigger despair and people's worst memories when it happens. characters with a strong affiliation to light or darkness will find themselves immune, and also probably catch his interest.

Yes, the guy who wears some of the spikiest armor in the game with the general temperament to match and who will literally yeet himself out of conversations he doesn't like, in a world where hugging is mandatory. Luckily he's taken several dozen levels of chill since his first possible introduction (where he eventually gives killing you his best college try) so all in all, could be worse? ~~Don't let the grump fool you, he's at least 60% marshmallow fluff under that crunchy layer of broken glass.~~

Also luckily for his new god Rawna he's given up his Head Dragonslayer of the Country of Dragonslayers ways. That could've gotten awkward otherwise.

Hello! My name is Liz, and I was here very briefly before with Aera Mirus Fleuret from Final Fantasy XV. I loved this game so much that I wanted to come back, and here we are! This time around I bring you Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 Strikers. Ann's your typical 17 year old struggling through the last year of high school who models part time and enjoys road trips with her friends that may or may not include infiltrating a cognitive world full of Shadows and Palaces and Jails and other insane sounding things. Totally normal!

That being said, she's from end game Strikers, so I have created a handy dandy spoilers opt out post if anyone wants to entirely avoid spoilers or if they don't mind a little or a lot. Salutations all, I'm X and I'll be bringing in Seto Kaiba, from that anime about card game nerds, ancient Egyptian mysticism, and saving the world in seemingly impossible ways, Yu-Gi-Oh. As an additional bonus he's fresh from Tabula Rasa and he'll be salty about not being back in his own world. At least no one will have to explain to him how this whole multiple dimension thing works, so there's that! Courtesy of his tragic backstory- being orphaned at a young age and adopted by a calculating & cruel businessman who he later succeeded in taking over Kaiba Corp -he's not keen on doling out his trust easily, nor is he a cuddly touchy feely type so the fact that he wound up here will annoy him terribly ~~and amuse me~~.

That being said there are some people and things he does care about and that's his younger brother Mokuba Kaiba, a collection of dweebs he perpetually gives a hard time and will not admit to from Domino City, card games, holograms, tech, D R A G O N S, and ~~Ann Takamaki who should be introing soon!~~.

He is a technological genius, but he could seriously work on his people skills. Sorry for that in advance because he can be pretty sarcastic. His God is ~~Obelisk the Tormentor~~ Rawna ~~because dragon~~!

Hi everyone! I'm Ran and I bring you the overly melodramatic, charismatic fiery genius, former king of Noldor, and the major source of most of his people's later pain and suffering, Fëanor from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. I bring him from far after his death when he had time to linger in the Halls of Mandos (Middle-Earth's sort of version of the Underworld/place for the dead elves ;)) and ~~stew in regret~~ reflect on the consequences of his pride and impulsiveness. After that he spent some - negligible for an elf- amount of time on the space-faring Voidtrecker Express. There were many adventures there and he complained a lot, as it's his habit.

He actively hates the gods of his world (well, not all of them, just most of them) so he'll be suspecting all the worst from Aellyn gods too. While he is most infamous for bringing calamity on his people he's not actually evil and not even a totally rotten person. He is just ~~just...hahaha...ahem,sorry~~ stupidly self-centred, judgmental and arrogant. But! There's a truly funny nerd with secret trolling powers under all the High King of Magnificent Firstborn, maker of the Silmarils, genius inventor hype.

Hello everyone. My name's Melodie. I'm awful at introes so er, where to start?

Well with the character I guess! I'm bringing Yotsuyu from Final Fantasy XIV. For anyone not familiar with her, she's basically a (former?) villain with serious anger management issues. She's taken from post 4.3, so expect her to bemoan not being dead any more. She's sworn off her villainous ways but that doesn't exactly make her a better person... As a general rule, just don't expect to get along with her, at first anyway. She thinks this place sucks and is all around an exceedingly disagreeable person to be around.

So of course, that means she's absolutely perfect for a place that revolves entirely around hugs and cute stuff. Yep. Totally. I was going to throw Monika from DDLC in there at first, but then I realized she would enjoy the hugging and fluff way too much and that's no fun. I am looking forward to starting Yotsuyu's new career as unwitting comic relief... And perhaps her redemption arc!

He's from the very end of Endgame and literally in the process of sacrificing himself when he was taken from his world. After that he has been on the Voidtrecker train for just over six month.
