Welcome to Hugtopia! We're so happy to have you all here. We know it can be stressful, starting in a game (or adding a character!) so in an effort to help, we bring you an Intro CR Meme!

We'll be posting this meme each application cycle for all players to meet and plot together, so please be sure to keep an eye out and help each other feel welcome. And be sure to check back often; someone may have a fun new idea in the middle of the night that you might not want to miss out on!

It is recommended that new players or new characters include (NEW) in your subject line, so other players know to welcome you! You can also leave a comment to the NEW top-level mod thread with a link to your own top-level, so people can easily find you.

Character Name: Honerva
Canon: Voltron: Legendary Defender (S4-Early Ep3 + Drift Fleet CR AU)
Age: +(10k) years, probably "seems" late 30s/early 40s

Appearance: [Ref: here!] She features long white hair, golden eyes (notably with purple irises), large pointed elf like-ears, and distinctive red markings on her face. She stands around 5'4 currently. She tends to dress in teal or other colors, notably not in the dark robes represented in her icons.
Brief personality: Soft spoken and introverted, she has a reserved demeanor, as she tends to be more likely to listen to others than to speak too much of herself until she is more comfortable. Even then it depends on the sort of relationship being formed. She seems cautious, though is more expressive by the movements of her ears.
Brief history: A life so thoroughly defined by tragedy that she lost herself and became the villain in another's story for untold years, accompanied by a significant year and change of CRAU from Drift Fleet. This experience affected her and the choices she's made since, thanks to having an extended break from her previous environment as well as genuine support, and time to learn how to adjust, and to face some harsh truths about reality. More importantly, she had people to talk to during critical moments while she dealt with all sorts of issues, which Helped A Lot in guiding her toward who she is now, and where she wants to go.
Shipping Preferences: Not impossible, but it's complicated... helplessly waves hands at all this Baggage.

What your character wants/needs: What Honerva wants is to secure her future with Lup and Taako, which mostly involves a lot of research of the state of this world and taking risks on information gathering but she's... learning... to be more careful.

As for "needs", she's still generally learning how to People, she's Managing but this is an ongoing thing really, experiences... vary. She's still more likely to seem stiff and awkward around those she's less familiar with depending on circumstances, bonds take time. She's trying. She needs to Do Better and she knows this.

Seeking: More CR building opportunities really!

Her interests are fairly limited due to her general lack of experiences, though she's working on that. She's a bit shyer/slower to open up around unfamiliar people, but don't let that stop you. As sort of an antithesis to this, she's a main server at the cafe Affurgato, which gives her more of a chance to greet others more comfortably because at least it's her job to do so, and if they wish to carry on a conversation from there it's at least practice.

Honerva you gotta dish on what you know about this place. Dot will help you with any and all investigating endeavors you do, even the dumb and risky ones. Maybe even especially those ones.

Yes good, investigation is great and she's discovered quite a bit in her time here...! She is making an effort to not be so risky, turns out there are people that would get worried or upset whenever something happens to her, imagine that? She's... still struggling to grasp that. But such things are not so easily avoidable if opportunity is there to follow leads.

I'm sad I fell off the face of the earth last month and didn't tag more or throw this moron at her during the august event :'| IMMA TRY BETTER THIS TIME!!

Yeay! :> Their first thread has been super fun because it's rare for this guy to show his smarter, less ridiculous side! But now that he's gotten more familiar with this world he'll probably start being less serious... Apologies in advance.....

Hey, characters behave differently in different circumstances, so it's all good! Just means they're three dimensional is all. I'm sure he'll have plenty of time to play around otherwise. She's used to dealing with Taako though and not much tends to get a rise out of her if he's just doing that sort of thing for fun.
