Welcome to Hugtopia! We're so happy to have you all here. We know it can be stressful, starting in a game (or adding a character!) so in an effort to help, we bring you an Intro CR Meme!

We'll be posting this meme each application cycle for all players to meet and plot together, so please be sure to keep an eye out and help each other feel welcome. And be sure to check back often; someone may have a fun new idea in the middle of the night that you might not want to miss out on!

It is recommended that new players or new characters include (NEW) in your subject line, so other players know to welcome you! You can also leave a comment to the NEW top-level mod thread with a link to your own top-level, so people can easily find you.

Appearance: Pretty average teenage girl. About 5’4. Excellent posture.
Brief personality: A sweet sunshine girl clinging to her bitterness like a security blanket. Loves fairies and princesses, also voodoo. Practical and hardworking, a real go-getter as long as she actually has a direction! Just generally kind of intense.
Brief history: Good Girl gets used by her prince charming, goes on a wild rampage pursuing revenge before calming down enough to decide that while the revenge isn't called off, she should do slightly less rampaging and a lot more working on herself.
Shipping Preferences: why would you want a headache, what are you doing here

What your character wants/needs: Friends!! She needs people to pester, mother hen, argue with, take her to task when she's unreasonable and dumb. She also just needs more things to do; she’s still bitter about her stint in robot show business. She'd like a job?

Seeking: Negative CR is welcome too! Long term goals are to challenge some of her notions about relationships and boundaries, but that's gonna be a project.

Likewise!!! Era is so saddened by how down on herself Kyoko is, while also feeling mildly uncomfortable/awkward about the fangirling kjghfgh it's an interesting thread!! I'm hoping to get back to it tonight if Monster Hunter doesn't kidnap me 🙆‍♀️

She can't help it when Era's just so cool~ And gosh, if she thinks that's an example of Kyoko being down on herself, I don't know what she'd do if she saw any of her real insecurities hahaaa

Oh yep, still going! Nakamura says the end is in sight, but no word on how far off that sight actually is....

Era finds the subtler examples of putting yourself down to be more powerful. Like if it's overdramatic that takes effort, but to so casually and easily diminish your self-worth speaks far more volumes. It's v v sad. No she doesn't think this from example shh


It's so trippy!! I think every series I followed at the time I kept up with Skip Beat! have all been long finished by now. 😳 (Except for One Piece but Oda has another like 13 years or so planned on that iirc haha)

Yeah... that's a common reaction when folks rediscover the series, haha. It is pretty wild for a shoujo manga to hang on this long!
