Welcome to Hugtopia! We're so happy to have you all here. We know it can be stressful, starting in a game (or adding a character!) so in an effort to help, we bring you an Intro CR Meme!

We'll be posting this meme each application cycle for all players to meet and plot together, so please be sure to keep an eye out and help each other feel welcome. And be sure to check back often; someone may have a fun new idea in the middle of the night that you might not want to miss out on!

It is recommended that new players or new characters include (NEW) in your subject line, so other players know to welcome you! You can also leave a comment to the NEW top-level mod thread with a link to your own top-level, so people can easily find you.

Character Name: Nyx Ulric
Canon: Final Fantasy XV
Age: 32 at time of death

Appearance: A nice tall man with some tats and a good build and oh also some scars because he's a dumbass and he died.
Brief personality: Down to earth good guy who did what he needed to do to do his part to save the world. Loves his (dead) family, his found family, and believes the future is worth fighting, and dying, for. A soldier, fighter, brave to a fault, good for a drink or two provided the company is good.  Loyal, charming at times, snarky other times... unfortunately some of his more outgoing traits are going to be on the down-low since he's taken post-death, but he'll be more friendly and open if development happens!
Brief history:  A special-class soldier known as the Kingsglaive, Nyx was once hailed as a hero and tirelessly fought in the war against the Empire. Nyx rallied for Lucis during her final moments, ultimately giving his life.
Shipping Preferences: he's dead.... i mean i'm sure he's down to clown but getting him there is gonna be the tough part!

What your character wants/needs:
++ friends. drinking buddies. people he can hang with, bring out his good side, get him to be comfortable in this strange afterlife.
++ nyx will be interested in investigating/restoring this world, although he's still not the most comfortable with randomly holding another's hand, let alone hugs and cuddles :C
++ nyx doesn't have anymore magic or weapons, so he's going to be looking for maybe some weapons to buy... but he'll need money. which means probably gonna have to hold someone's hand for that sweet, sweet dora.

Seeking:
++ positive CR, negative CR. come at me. open to cross-canon, too!
++ people to help break him out of his post-death shell he's going to have to deal with. adults, kids, whatever, 's all good!

Nyx, Regis owes you ALL the drinks for everything you will do for Insomnia in the future and then ALL the drinks again for having to put up with him at this canon point.

Do...we even HAVE a bar yet? There is the cafe, but that's not the same...

regis is swell and lovely and personable, nyx just doesn't know how to handle him and how young he is...!

idk if we have a bar, but like YEAH, this guy needs a drink and some good conversation.

maybe if he gets another points he can even open his own bar, clutches chest.

It's okay, Nyx. I think most people are still learning to deal with Regis at this age. He's very different when he hasn't has all his youth and hope crushed out of him. It makes me feel terrible whenever I canon update him. X.x

Oh man, I think running a bar would end up being so good for him. It would give him something to focus on that isn't giving his life for country and family. Something with a link to better times back before everything went to hell on Galahd. It might make him sad thinking about everyone who isn't there, but at the same time, I think it would be good for bringing his better qualities back out again.

Is it okay to keep the TDM thread? I am okay either way, so it is completely up to you. Regis was going to fill him in on where most of the people from Eos are and briefly mention the shop because he has a feeling it will make the soldier in Nyx happier to have a more filled in lay of the land, but besides that I didn't really have any solid plans for the rest of the thread.
