Feel free to use this entry for plotting purposes as you please, and use the Mod Question thread below for any questions.

A log will be posted on the day the event begins, but characters are welcome to create their own entries as well.

❥ PROMPT I: The Temple Celebrations

As noted in the Intro Log, the residents of Havenwell have been invited to help with the decorations in order to incorporate your worlds' cultures with their own, and to assist in celebrating the new year's coming. Residents are encouraged to visit any temple at their convenience or pleasure and join in the design process. There are craft tables, ranging from basic (for the younger or less skilled, such as kites or papercraft) to intricate and advanced designs (like glass lanterns or embroidery). Those less creatively-inclined are welcome to use their various skills, magics, or just ladder-balancing talents to help with the decoration installations around town. Many hands make light the work, after all.

Each temple has music playing and all of them have their associated animals not inside the temple like normal, but spread all over the temple grounds and surrounding areas. They aren't lost for once, but seem to be beckoning people toward their respective homes which are bedecked with holograms of dark green leafy boughs, ribbons, and ornaments all in the temple's colors. Diacht has red and white striped ornaments, Ohma has blue and gold, and Ainea is bringing up the cute factor with pink and purple. But Rawna is looking especially resplendent with rainbow sheened silver ornaments hung in the air, mixed in with real ones that are suspended from wires so thin they look as if they're hanging in midair. The dragonlings fly through the air, trailing silver ribbons behind them that make the temple really seem to shine this month. At each temple, simply by showing up, you can receive a small gift from the priests regardless of whether or not you're an adherent. And they invite you to play the temple games or dance along to the festive music playing from speakers. Each temple has something different to offer, so grab a friend and make your first visit of the year a special one!

❥ PROMPT II: Your Yearly (Mis)Fortunes

At each temple along all the other celebrations and games, you can also find a separate booth that has a strange and unreadable Aellyn script on it. The robot sitting behind the booth has their face covered with a strip of fabric that obscures it completely, but it calls out to you when you walk by. It offers you an ancient-looking wooden container with a single small hole at the top. If you take it, it mimes shaking the container and tipping it over. Do as they say and a wooden stick pops out of the top with that same strange script on it. The robot takes a look at what you got and takes the container back, passing you a single strip of paper with reverence. "Keep your fortune close or learn to let it go," it says, and then looks to find another patron. Turn your paper over and discover what your fortune holds for you.

OOC: If you wish to roll for a random fortune, leave an comment with your character's name in the Request Thread. The mods will randomize for you and give you your fortune. Your character can only claim 1 fortune, no matter how many times they attempt the fortune-teller's game. Feel free to choose your own fortune instead, if you would prefer a set result.

❥ PROMPT III: Memories of the Sun (VR)

This seasonal VR simulation is especially popular with the natives for the fact that it lets them see their world as it used to be. Load into the simulation "Memories of the Sun" and you'll be transported along with all others who are currently logged in to make a pilgrimage up Aellyn's most sacred mountain. Although its peak is rocky and somewhat barren, it has a serene beauty as it reaches up through the cloud layer and you climb upwards through the dark. The path is clearly lit by small lamps embedded into the ground, but you might find it easier to take the climb if you hang onto someone else. Once you reach the peak, whether you're alone or with someone else, you'll be treated to the sight of a gorgeous sunrise peeking over the thinning clouds. It's a sight to remember, and a sight that brings memories. As you watch you're overcome with a very real vision of your home, a place you remember, or people you know. This vision is typically of a better time in your life, something to bring you hope and peace as the new year dawns - but not always. Is this a vision of your past? Your future? Of your present? If you came here with someone else, they can also choose to share in your vision and you in theirs. Are you brave enough to face what the mountain has to show you?

❥ PROMPT IV: All the Ups and Downs

And while the celebrations continue, there seems to be something a little awry with Havenwell. Here and there throughout the month, gravity has gone utterly haywire. You can be walking from temple to temple or going about your everyday life when suddenly you feel yourself lifted off the ground or heavier than you have any right to be. Havenwell's natives aren't immune to this effect either, and you might see a robot go shooting up into the sky suddenly to hover a good five to ten feet in the air. Or they might take a step and suddenly fall flat on their faces, their gears whirring with the strain as they try to pick themselves up. Thankfully the other natives are quick to jump up and grab their companions if they're flying overhead or pull their friends out of the well if they're stuck to the ground. If you find yourself caught up in these gravity wells, you'll need someone's help to do the same. Be sure to pay it forward because you'll never know when it could be you in this awkward position.

VIANCA is...... already...... very busy, so I do not think I will be top-leveling with her on this event! However she needs that Ainea scarf so waggles eyebrows. She is uh potentially also available to help you Be Small, she's good at that.

KAI, however, will probably have a few. Definitely some kind of fortune (~~WHICH ONE? STAY TUNED~!~~ oh my god its Medium Luck) and dragon watching. Please... help him eat food. He likes gold and all but oh god he's so hungry.

He's a little more acquainted with the VR now which is great cuz Memories of the Sun is extremely up his alley and he's definitely going to go check that out. Come see two whole mountains.

1) likely gonna go for the Rawna and Diacht gifts, though he could be dragged to the other two to help them get gifts if they want them. have plans for Diacht already but otherwise free!

2) Big Luck because I like to make his life difficult. he'll be a tiny warping firefly trying desperately to get home. someone rescue-carry him...

3) he has plans to drag uncle to climb a mountain with him!! he's not opposed to joining other people though. he's missed nature a lot so VR is his escape.

4) he can warp and rescue people if they need it? not planning to toplevel this bit.

LUP:

1) GONNA TRY TO GET ALL OF THEM LIKE A COLLECTOR BOSS. come help her for any of them?

2) she got Small Luck so she'll probably be trying to steal bedding from other houses lmao.

4) same as Noct, can magically rescue people from float town. She has flying spells!

Taako he's doing the Temple Games, notably Rawna for the gloves and Ohma for the hat. He'll be trying to match trivia to the people and failing miserably, so if you have trivia you want to toss at me or want to laugh at him go for it. He's also getting Big Luck and being smashed into the ground by a gravity well so feel free to laugh at his misfortune.

Doudanuki is trying Diacht's game bc it's familiar to him, and he's competitive af. He's getting Bad Luck and will be chased by hordes of animals so please help. For people wanting to learn more about his world, he's going to the VR too and will be reliving some of his glory days - warning for battles though.

Zenitsu's small luck is going to have to be dealt with his friend and roommate...

However!! He is all for the games at the temples during the day!! He will make sure to greet all the friends he's just made! :D

He'll most likely be at the mountains as well, because new year sunrise, etc. And that his friend Tanjiro probably persuaded him to go too.

As for memories, not a lot of Zenitsu's are nice memories so please be warned... The actual happy ones are memories of him playing sugoroku with his friends. Or talking to Nezuko while she's in the box, or taking a fishbowl without permission to show to Nezuko how pretty it is.

Rin got Bad Luck so who wants to save her from a mice stampede?

Rin is also going to be playing around the temples, so anyone who would like a bitty companion just sing out~! She may go to the mountain, and people can have either surprisingly cute memories of Sesshoumaru looking after her, or... some of her more traumatising ones (DEATH. LOTS OF DEATH)

Somnus visits all the temples on a regular basis, so he can be roped into playing any of the games, especially if there's an incentive (i.e., contact). He'll draw medium luck and it won't be unusual to find him with some glitter in his hair and on his clothes. As for gravity, it's mostly going to be downs in that anyone who wanders the city in the early morning might find themselves getting intimate with a descending falcon. Yay!

Prompt 1: Will would be delighted by these little gifts, and pretty keen to go around collecting them all and having fun with the games. Anyone who wants to play these games with him, please do!

He might even think to game-ify it even further! What are people's thoughts on him making a network post or two challenging people to collect all the accessories, put together an outfit involving all of them at once, and having people vote on who wears them best? He'd even be willing to contribute some kind of small prize, whether that's Dora, or some kind of item or service, or something.

Prompt 2: Will is going to have the big luck fortune, and have random shrinking shenanigans! Come carry him, have tiny adventures with him, let him ride your shoulder, etc. etc.? You may also catch him riding around on his Pokémon, too! He won't be too bothered by it, once he realizes why it's happening and what solves it, he's happy to have some fun while he's small.

Prompt 3: Will always checks out the VR stuff! Who wants to memory share with him? I'm happy to put out both good and bad memories for him, or be the one to see other characters' memories.

Prompt 4: He'd probably have a lot of fun with the no-gravity option until he realized he couldn't get down, oops? There may be some whining about suddenly faceplanting and being plastered to the ground, though. Either way, he'd pay it forward--or at least try. No guarantees he won't grab someone to try and pull them back down, then ending up clinging to them for dear life as they both lift off.

Reyson can help fetch people who are stuck in places due to the gravity influx. He'll even ferry them where they need to go.

I would love to do the Ainea and Rawna games because while Reyson is pretty honest, he tends to keep things under a lid and I would love more honest discussion / bonding stuff!

He's also receiving medium luck please help him eat. He's a bird who can only eat vegetarian :c

Temple Celebrations: Kiwi would absolutely love to try out all the festival games, and will probably sport the new clothes for a few days after. OOC I'm especially interested in Diacht's badminton game and the face-painting. Just keep it clean lol

Your Yearly (Mis)Fortunes: The one I'm most interested in of this set is terrible luck, sending the normally graceful bard flat on their face. Who wants to be crashed into by a clumsy bard? I might also be interested in big luck for pocket-sized bard, just HMU

Memories of the Sun: A surprise to nobody who's followed my character's angstier logs, the memory Kiwi finds is most likely going to be of their best friend Miriam, probably the memory of dancing with her in the Crater club in Chaandesh. It will be extremely emotional, and depending on Kiwi's company they might be looking for comfort afterward. But if those feels are too heavy, another option could be their trip on the Lady Arabica, a pirate ship with a crew of friendly, caffeine-addicted pirates. There will be sea chanties, jumping fish, and maybe even mermaids, if they get far enough into the memory! Just don't let Kiwi drink the coffee...remember what happened last month?

All the Ups and Downs: You know I'm always down to seeing a bard fly. Low gravity sounds like a lot of fun to play with, who wants to fly away with them?

Shinji:
He hangs out at Rawna's temple a lot anyway so it's time to get some nice gloves!! He'll be there for kite flying for sure, and while he might not be overtly interested in many of the other activities, I am so if anyone wants him for other games let me know and we can figure something out! He's gotten small luck for his fortune which is pretty much... already covered... so that's rad. He's still not terribly interested in the VR cafes but I could probably pull something together if anyone was interested in dragging him to one? You wanna see some bittersweet-at-best stuff? Otherwise /shrugs!! He'll also be around to save people from gravity hiccups when he can (so probably just those ground-bound) and likely eat dirt at least a few times himself.

Tamaki:
He's most interested in Diacht and Rawna's activities! Athletics! Kite flying! Perfect!! On the other hand, he could reasonably end up at pretty much any of the temples looking to a) score free stuff and b) play games so he's basically available for anything here. He'll also likely end up in the VR cafe at least a few times, if anyone's interested in seeing some of his memories, possibly of his performances with his group, or possibly stuff relating to his sister, he's your boy. As for gravity stuff, he's tall enough to rescue some low-flying skyward souls, but will also be shooting up there himself a few times. see you space tamaki

1: Nita will be at all of the temples throughout the rest of the month! She won't be there for the games specifically, but CAN be roped into them. You're also free to catch her storytelling in an attempt to connect with the gods, so if you wanna RNG it up and find out which episodes from her past are playing, hit me up!

2: While Nita's going to catch on to the gimmick behind the fortunes pretty quickly (and thus to keep things from getting boring I'm not letting Nita GET a fortune), she'll be around to help others out! Particularly those who are stuck being Small.

3: DEFINITELY DOING THIS ONE. Who wants to see what Earth looks like from the Moon? Or catch a glimpse of Timeheart (Time's Heart, where all other hearts stop, aka the Afterlife)? WHO WANTS TO SEE NITA AND KIT BEING CUTE????

Or just have Nita see your character's vision, that's fine too.

4: Also doing this one! Nita's going to get hit by both low and high gravity, and start seriously musing if this means they're in a space station - or, for those who've read Lifeboats, if there's a wayward moon destabilizing its orbit around Aellyn. She's also available to help others who get stuck.

I was starting to write up separate things when I realized I just kind of want to do all the things for both of them? They'd both check out all the temples, though Lance a lot more eagerly than Phoenix, who may need some coercing since he's new and unsure about all this. Because yay, celebrations and things to do!

Fortune-wise, hmmmm. I think I'll have Lance get Medium Luck. Dude needs some cash for saving up for certain things, anyway >_> For Phoenix, I'm not 100% sure, either Big Luck or Terrible luck.

Both will be checking out the VR, so if anyone wants to join them in seeing pretty sunrises and sharing memories, let me know! I haven't decided on what memories/visions they'd see, but we can figure that out. Heck, if there's anything you want your character to see from them if you're familiar with their canon, let me know!

And yeah. Gravity shenanigans for both. All the shenanigans.

1) Temples - she's mostly there because she's accompanying a certain someone on their questing about for sweet loot, though she's more likely wallflowering or examining the temples for signs of the imbalance than participating in the events properly...

2) Big Luck - She would honestly ignore the fortunes entirely but she's distracted enough to be badgered into picking one up without too much thought and doesn't really glance at the result until later. Oops. She thinks she can handle everything normally, she can teleport, she has a cat she can probably ride. It's fine. (~~It's not fine.~~) It's clearly just time for Stupid Tiny adventures.

3) Alas, she does not do VR...

4) Float/Gravity - She can rescue others from their up and down issues once it's evident that's whats going on. Probably.

While I won't be topleveling it, if anyone needs a game partner Takashi will be trying for some prizes- possibly cheating if he can mange it.

As for my top level, Takashi will be getting Medium Luck, which was probably supposed to teach him about greed. instead he will be glitterbombing all food he can get a hold of. Including 'accidentally' bumping into other people's food.

He'll also be in the VR if anyone wants to see his beautiful monster children and/or have him made rude comments about their own memories.

He'll want to have a go at all of the Temple Celebrations, though he's most interested in Rawna's gloves.

This boy rolled for Terrible Luck. Please help this poor child, and then wonder if the cure worked at all because he's a klutz anyway.

Temple Celebrations - He's not interested in playing games for prizes, but he might hit up Diacht to try and get an understanding of what's up with these gods.

Nico's got Bad Luck (he's not one bit surprised). It's funny because normally animals avoid him. Given he knows no one here and hates touching, this is going to be A Problem.

He will be affected by the gravity for sure. Just watch for a scrawny kid shooting into the air and then a whole lot of cussing.

UNLESS YOU HOLD HER HAND ALL THE WAY UP because helping this world is super important. then she’ll risk showing some rando memory. or maybe bail after your memory is revealed and before hers appears. anyway she would be interested in whatever you might have to show of your world or past! come let her tell you everything is alright

Oh boy, this event sounds like a whole lot of fun for me and a whole lotta SOMETHING for ya boy. 8)

Anyway, I'm going to have Guzma making rounds to get some freebies at the temples - he is deffo eyeing that scarf and the necklace is probably one he'd actually wear as well. Unsure if he'd do any of the games, unless someone bullies him into it, but don't expect him to be honest about anything, and pushing your luck will get him to clam up even more and get more and more upset so....yeah. Fair warning, he bottles shit for a reason, cuz most of this secrets are ugly.

OTHER THAN THAT, he will get both Bad Luck then stem into Terrible Luck at some point. I'm debating giving him Medium Luck, but if anyone's open to feeding this big idiot, I'm down, otherwise I may skip this one entirely. Era will be going to each temple and gathering the token items because she's thorough that way. She'll be more interested in Rawna (she likes pretty things like that) and Diacht (sports!!!!) but if anyone is keen on any of the others just let me know.

PROMPT 2

MEDIUM LUCK. Given how much this idiot needs to eat, this is going to be rough for her. :'D But also given how stubborn she is... To make this actually applicable to people she isn't close to, after a couple days she'll start to be notably dizzy/faint, if anyone wants to deal with her! She doesn't accept drinks from people, but is fine to accept food.

PROMPT 3

This would be closed to pre-existing CR, but after finding out that you can share memories in this VR session Era would actually cave and try it! If any friends want to see some of the epic shit she's experienced hmu

PROMPT 4

No real plans for this one, other than to take advantage whenever it seems fitting! She will quickly realize that she needs to avoid skirts and stick to pants instead hahaha

OTHER

She'll be bringing lunch to Emet-Selch at whichever temple he's decided to be huge architect nerd at each day. And if she isn't doing it, her Carbuncle (still in Ruby form!) will be rushing to deliver a packaged meal.

Nanu already has two top levels settling in and in Petals & Pages so I plan to tag out for this event!

He'll visit the temples and probably won't be too participatory in games-- if any maybe flying dragon kites at Rawna's or watching badminton matches at Diacht's. For the latter he probably won't actively play but will gladly sideline snark or goad someone... or if you're looking for an opponent/interruption maybe Persian will join in some matches.

I'm so undecided on what level of luck to bless him with but I'm leaning towards small luck and would be especially interested in wombo-comboing this maybe with someone who has big luck--maybe he's unwittingly sharing a bed with someone tiny sized and hasn't noticed or special arrangements have to be made so someone doesn't get crushed. IT SOUNDS CUTE... Gravity shenanigans also sound super cute, especially if someone has any kind of luck thrown into the mix.

I'm very new and can thread settling in during this. I mean backdate it. HOWEVER.

For the Temples prompts, I am open to all of then but could lean towards Ainea and Rawna! And Diacht. Let's exchange answers, play badminton (and you can draw on Alfyn. hah.) and fly kites!!!

Second prompt, I am leaning towards [ Terrible luck ] (though I understand if your character can't catch a 6'0 blonde from falling.) or [ Medium luck ] (Save him he just wants to eat!). So let me know if either one interests you.

Third prompt, let's do some VR! Let's exchange memories. He'll offer to hold your hand or carry you atop this mountain if you're not athletic inclined.

‣ Temple
He's up for celebrations! He's definitely up for dancing. I'm considering on the idea that he'll perform Dance of the Fire God for the celebration, but we'll see how this can be translated in post form. For gifts and games, he's eyeing Ohma and Diacht's presents in particular.

‣ Fortunes
Tanjiro's has the case of the smalls thanks to drawing the Big Fortune, he's going to have his crow carrying him around but after a few hours, Tennouji is going to be done with carrying him around so he'll definitely need some help.

‣ Memories of the Sun
He's dragging his friend Zenitsu to watch the sunrise. As far as memories goes, your character might likely see memories of his family, like the time he and his younger siblings bought a new haori for their sister. Or of his friends, such as them eating together and playing games. I'm keeping the unsavory dreams saved for locked/planned threads, but lemme know if you want in on that.

One: I already have a couple of people for her to go to Rawna's temple with, but I would also love for her to find someone at Ainea's! Since that's her god, she would definitely visit the temple in order to help with the decorations and spread some cheer.

Two: I'm so torn between Medium Luck, Bad Luck and Terrible Luck, although I'm pretty sure I'll go with either the first or the last. But seeing her basically become an actual Disney Princess would be hilarious. So, someone to volunteer to feed this poor girl or catch her and stop her from breaking something.

Three & Four: No super concrete plans for either of these! But I am so down for her suddenly floating off in the middle of random conversation and having to find someone to come rescue her.
