They need to be able to get supplies back and forth, so you can expect the corridor to be about the width of an average 2 lane American street; one lane of traffic in each direction. Not so big that semi-trucks could go crazy taxi on them, but enough that 2 cars could get by each other without playing vehicle Tetris in order to pass one another.
